Album Notes

I can clearly remember hearing a Cal Tjader recording for the first time in the fall of 1987. Listening to the music gave me lasting energy and inspiration for a direction I would later pursue. Learning about this music and leading Los Gatos has been an honor. We all take a humble bow to the work of Callen Radcliffe Tjader, as well as many other musical fathers. Thanks to the persistence and determination from the group, here is a current snapshot of a dream in progress. On behalf of the cats, we hope you enjoy our first recording. -Pete

Heard this at salsa dancing...just had to purchase for Mambo Moderno alone. Fantastic On2 track. All great tracks but particularly Mambo at the M and Mambo Moderno. Great work, more please and when are you coming to the UK?
