Album Notes

Lost in Blue is an instrumental metal band that has risen up from the depths of the Chicago underground. Exploring beyond the boundaries of its genre, the band forges new paths as they create a powerful mix of dark, original and intelligent music. Intricate arrangements and exceptional musicianship fluidly combine different elements such as blues, prog-rock, black metal, and free form jazz, all the while maintaining the dark and commanding sound that defines their craft.

Musical influences are an eclectic mix including X-Japan, Seikima-II, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Mayhem, and Iron Maiden.

This **** is great! When I first heard Lost in Blue, I pissed myself and vomited at the same time from the intense butt-exploding sonic experience. I thought I had to go to the hospital but instead I just realized that I hadn't eaten lunch yet and my soul was taken over by the awesomeness that is Lost in Blue!

One of the finest instrumental metal bands out there

Singing or no singing, this is one of the best bands to come out of Chicago, underground or not. Much more exciting and completely different from bands like Pelican, this instrumental group has a sound that is distinctly metal but so much more. This album proves these guys are a force to be reckoned with, God of War and Dead Moon Rises are reasons enough to buy this!
