only complaint: no lyrics. that aside, the album plays like a favorites mix tape of obscure B-sides & A-sides too damn good to leave out, but its all new. like a soundtrack to a film that hasn't been made. a self produced album that should have the majors bury their heads in dirt for missing the boat. hows that for metaphor cocktail? an eclectic collection ripe & rife w/ new dimension. of Mikes vocals on Tragedy Of Me, the exotic lost alley textures of Heaven Herein, exalted abandon of Run Wild, passionate declaration in Velveteen, rich expanses of Mayday, the sexy, dusty Neon Red, cosmically pivotal Stars Collide, idyllic shoreside Blue Bikini, & the rich acoustic bookends, Cup At My Krater & These Eyes. Mike rocks and Seth rolls. Steve's guitars a bit more an underpainting from earlier albums, & just as beautiful. Danielle sums up my sentiments of whats its really all about, in Lonesome Sky (love those triplets) "Lets kiss like we're in a movie". i am lucky enough to live in the NJ/NY zone & caught them live a bunch of times, & i highly recommend you do it @ least once in this lifetime. Great stuff, A+
