When a genre of music broadens to become nearly indefinable, the most progressive sounds come from only the genuinely passionate. Lost Role Models has pioneered the exploding North Bay hip-hop movement with their unique blend of melodic vocal harmonies and crisp sounding live instruments. An eclectic mix of samples add flavor, manipulating the music's raw energy.
Comprised of Rick V (22), Adam C (21), Cole Gibson (19), and DJ Werkone (23), the group of four years has toured Northern and Southern California, sharing stages with other notable acts, like Bicasso, of the Living Legends Crew, Canibus, Radioactive, Lyrics Born, Furious Minds, Ozomatli, Cake, Shotgun Wedding Quintet, The Cuff (Deep Fried Funk Brothers), DJ Icewater, Sol Horizon, and North Bay favorite, Spoken Art. The Lost Role Models live show is consistently fresh. They share a dynamic on stage that exudes a strong emotional presence, the perfect medium for their intense lyrical style.
With their second independently released album, "Mockingbird," LRM follows up their previous, unofficial record, "Passion." The latest, mostly produced by Rick V and Adam C, displays the group's insatiability for pushing hip hop's limits. Distinct Jazz, Grunge, and even emo rock influences are woven throughout the tracks on "Mockingbird." As Lost Role Models poise themselves at what they still consider only the beginning, they remain focused on what has always been most important, their music and fans. Each member is active in supporting Bay Area skateboarding, graffiti art, and various music scenes. Lost Role Models plan to continue exposing their music both locally and through travel. Their creativity and innovation will continue to motivate them toward each of their future endeavors.

Pretty dope cd in all honesty, the rhymes are great and their voices definitely give the entire album some energy. The topics they rap dont give much to variety but they wtick to what they know best. I'd recommend this cd to anyone feeling the real hip hop shit like hiero or del.

A bomb dropped, and I realized it was the beat

This CD takes Music to a whole new level. Rick V's ability to piece together tracks like this is simply remarkable. Dr. Dre aint got shit on V. I listened to the whole album, then put it on again, then again. In fact, I'm still listening right now, and its been about 6 days. I should probably eat something, I've just been sitting here the whole time. Should I be dead from lack of water? I guess what I'm saying is, none of it matters, cause this CD is the bomb!!!!!!! Peace!!!!!!

Fantastic
author: Barbara Swanson
My son bought me this cd for my drive to work, and wow I love it! Over the bridge the sound of 3 nicely packaged men has never sounded so soothing and erotic. The electronic compostion has been digitally mastered to pure perfection. A warning to mothers I believe I did hear a use of the F word, but in this day in age you cant be perfect! I would love to take these 3 young men in my craft room and show them what I can use my new hot gun for! I love it! Fabulous! Remarkable! Swell! Encore!!
