ABOUT THE ARTIST


A native of Paris France, Louis Dourand received his musical training in Spain from José Arango and Ma. Dolores Zozaya.
Living today in Portugal, he has held a professorship at Lisboa School of Music since 1989, and since 1993 has served as University Harpsichord & Piano Player at the University of Lisboa. International recognition was established in 1998 when he won the Portugal Third Harpsichord Festival, and has grown through his recording career with over four recordings. Louis Dourand performs frequently in major international halls and concert festivals. He conducts master classes both in harpsichord & piano interpretation specialized in baroque Iberian keyboard music.
