Viaticus the album is a complilation of various styles covering rock, pop, R&B, blues, Broadway, world and children's music. There is at least one song for everyone in this album. Listen to just any two songs to hear the diversity. Unique to this music is that the majority of the work was done via computer (the Mac) and is the result of much research put into it. Yet this music is brand new, recently composed and produced with great young voices putting together a great sound! It's the kind of album that if you have a lot of different people over, there will be someone at times another that'll say, "Yes, I like that song!" It's just that kind of album!
"Tell Me" for example reminds you of the early sixties with Branice MacKenzie adding that old soulful sound to it. "Holding Hands" performed by Evan Gorodetsky follows reminding you of that get up and go feel they did back then and how some men just keep thinking of that special girl. Further down the album is an interesting pair: Different One - Male performed by Ty Stephens. It's a very R&B serious mood with a haunting character while over at the end of the album is Different One - Female sung by Cynthia Holiday. It's the same lyrics but the arrangement is totally different and very upbeat. But that isn't all. There's "Dance With You" with Joseph Salucci diving into a memory lane of a great pop sound. Now with that said, again at the other end of the album is "Danser Avec Toi". The same song in french with a different arrangement! It's an album that just keeps reminding you how a sound can be fresh and new over and over. One very interesting piece to listen to is "Things Ain't Workin'". Where else will you listen to a cathedral organ, a hollow body guitar; and a stratocaster guitar all balanced out equally? It's an odd combination, right? Well, it's a great sound in this song! You just have to hear it! Oh yes and don't forget: there's still that charming children's piece sung by an adorable little 9 year old!
The best part of all of this is that you get 10 songs of this great memory!
The Grammy Committee on submissions approved Viaticus to go to first ballot in 13 categories for the 49th Annual Grammy Awards! Now how many albums do you have that had a successful Grammy submission attached to it? Viaticus is the first. Viaticus II is also available on CD BABY. Viaticus III is in production while the ink is drying on the manuscript for Viaticus IV.
The car on the front cover is a 1963 Dodge Dart Convertible. It's just more memory for you. It's even got the scratches and dents to go with an old car.
So think about this: you get 10 songs, with enclosed lyrics all original done by really dedicated voices on an album that was part of the awards process of the Grammys and features a car from way back in the 60s on a CD that is just $9.99! Thats 99 cents per song! Wow! Isn't that just a great deal? Wait. You haven't heard everything. There's one more thing to say about these fabulous melodies: It's all danceable music! Just try them out and you'll see! So it's not just music to listen to. It's music to get up and shake it! There's all sorts of music written out there for a purpose in listening but here, it's to have a good time and if you want to: dance, dance and more dance to it!
Place your order today to have fun with a bunch of sounds that fast forwards the past right up to today!
