Album Notes
Welcome to the release of:

"Louis Twinn - RoundHouse Recordings Vol.I - Americana".

A creative blend of influences from Dylan to Denver.

These songs are such a large part of my life now, having lived, loved and laughed along with the characters in them. I hope you'll let them be a part of your life too.

I've been compared to Newman/McKuen/Waits/Zandt/Clark/Denver/Dylan/Croce. Which is a mouthful and very nice of people to say so.

(The Songs)

Hank-1953, is a tribute song to Hank Williams. If your a fan of Hanks' I think you'll like this song.

Broken Dreams,is a song every songwriter can relate to.

When Hearts Are Broken, is a touching story of those that are left behind to carry on. This is a co-write with Scott Campbell. A brilliant lyricist and musician.

The Gift, is a true story about how I received my first guitar. It has a sad vein to it mixed with a heartfelt remembrance of a special lady.

Home Again, was inspired by my recent trip back home to Houston, Missouri and all the wonderful memories associated with going back home.

The Alabama Rose, is about a virtuous woman and crowns her goodness with the title, The Alabama Rose. My wife, Mary, is the role model for this song.

The Preacher,tells a tragic story.

GrandPa's Porch, is a very special song about my wife's GrandPa, Foster Bailey. We used to sit out on his porch and just enjoy the evenings.

No Greater Love, is about a tragic mining accident that happened at Blue Creek number 5 mine, here where I live.

Tomorrow, is a song that encourages you to hold on. Tomorrow might just be the day.

For Richer Or Poorer, is a love song I wrote for my wife. I used the traditional wedding vows in the chorus of this song. I think it would make a great wedding song.

City Streets, is a song about a homeless man. Someone commented that its "a beautiful tragedy". I must agree.

Lately, when I'm feeling overwhelmed I listen to a Louis Twinn song.
Louis Twinn's music has a way of grounding the listener , yet can also take you to another place & time..Whether it be about a poor soul down on their luck, or a legend of the times, you will find Louis's music filled with insight , inspiration, and compassion; graced with a touch of the Heavens...

Straight from the hip of the heart
Louis Twinn's music is the breath of a simple morning and he can pull off most anything because, unlike other songwriters who display a matter of self-importance even with their best work, Louis is just plain honest. There is no questioning what Louis does and that he means to do just that.
