Album Notes

Thomas Loup, jazz trombonist/composer from Berlin, recently released his debut CD "Free Ride." This album is presenting a great selection of Funk Jazz, Groove Jazz, and even Afro-Cuban Jazz tunes written by Thomas Loup. With his energetic and always grooving way of playing trombone his music will capture you and keep you tapping your foot.

Thomas Loup is a well established musician not only in his hometown Berlin, Germany but he has been a free lanced artist all over Europe. He can be heard on more than 30 CD recordings and has performed with e.g. Tony Bennett, Dave Brubeck, Ray Brown, Clark Terry, Bill Watrous, Robbie Williams and many more.

Loup has been touring internationally at the Chicago Jazz Festival, Jazz Fest Berlin, North Sea Jazz Festival, Jazz Yatra India, World Expo Lissabon and others.

From 1995-2000 he was engaged with the radio Big Band of Berlin RIAS BIG BAND.
