Album Notes

Love Candy's debut disc, "Sacrilicious," is brimming with guitar-driven, radio-friendly pop tunes. Toss in some clean lead vocals, lush harmonies and excellent production and you have a disc that deserves serious attention.

Beatles fans of the "Revolver" and "Rubber Soul" period will especially love the strong influence here. Love Candy has somehow used the Lennon/McCartney toolbox to bring that tradition into something new and REALLY good! WAY better than 99% of the bands out there who say they're Beatle-influenced.

Featuring the strong signature styles of three very capable songwriters, Love Candy offers the variety and genre-hopping normally associated with acts such as Sloan. While the listener will definitely have a "favourite", they should nevertheless find much to enjoy throughout Sacrilicious by Love Candy.

You guys really rock. I felt a very strong Frank S. influence here. When I closed my eyes it was almost as if it were 1956 live at the Flamingo in Vegas baby. Your music has a great beat and is easy to dance to.

The ultimate "Beatles-not the Beatles" sound...a dizzying, pop-driven group that delivers the Beatles sound while retainng their identity. While incorporating licks from Rubber Soul to Free as a Bird (the great Harrison guitar), Sacrlicious powers wondrous melodies, harmonies and slick guitar riffs resulting in a satisfying treat from beginning to end. The joy the Beatles exhibited making music is evident here...and the result is beautiful.
