Album Notes

Johnny Love is a singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas who played in Pulsating Love Flower along with Cathy Ragland and Scott Potter in the mid-eighties. The songs contained on this disc represent 26 years of writing, singing and playing in the "San Antonian Underground Music Scene", underground in the sense that the many many wonderful and talented bands in the 1980s and 90s were, and still remain to this day, mostly unrecognized, outside our intimate circle. Playing alongside such bands as Mannequin, Himmel, Lung Overcoat, the Fearless Iranians from Hell, the Hickoids, Swaziland White Band, Butthole Surfers, the Big Boys, Glass Eye and the Rievers, in those days we ran like children (never to be seen again). Looking back, it was such a joy to be a part of. My hope is that some of the spirit of those wonderful days will be conveyed through our lo fi Pulsating Love songs!
