"Indie" doesn't do justice to the Love X Nowhere's lush blend of pretty and trippy. The local 'group' laces together its shoe-gazer tendencies and obvious taste for Zeppelin-era prog-rock with oblique, psychedelic flourishes reminiscent of early Blonde Redhead.

These guys are obviously big fans of Pink Floyd...Odyssey is like listening to a lost Floyd album from the middle period. If you loved the languor of songs like "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," give this a listen.

up and coming san francisco independant brings it

this ep is beautifully produced and presented. it's songs, although connected, are very different from eachother, showing a band that works its' own dynamic honestly and with great enthusiasm. it's hard to catagorize what type of music this is. there are a lot of styles happening here but all fit together with an intensity and purpose that goes way beyond what we're used to hearing. these guys are at the start of something sincere and worthwhile and i am anxious to see what comes next. there is a depth and a sense of myth here, very refreshing. tasty tones and moments that will send you elsewhere.
