This is a truly experimental album for Low Profile and for all heavy punk rock in general. Complete with skits and an intro that feature the hiphop influence on satan165, all the way to the epic 'Low Profile Part I' as well as its twin 'Part II' (which clocks in at over 6 minutes!), the enginerring on this record is truly revolutionary and very dangerous. This album will break speakers and amplifiers, even at the lowest volumes.

review: throwing shapes
author: punkrockreviews.com
We reviewed Low Profile's previous release titled "Hybrid Style" not so long ago
and not much has changed on this record. Once again things start out with an
intro that sounds a lot more like ghetto rap than hardcore punk. With the intro
out of the way the band launches into their sonic noise assault on the senses.
The sound quality on this recording beats "Hybrid Style" hands down and is a
nice surprise considering the DIY approach that Low Profile brings to the table.
"Throwing Shapes" is a largely experimental release mixing hardcore punk, hip-
hop, electronica and even metal. There are a lot of heavy guitar parts, spoken
lyrics that turn into singing and then screaming and are often distorted, long
instrumental interludes, and aggressive drum and bass. Once again, I feel I must
stress that "Throwing Shapes" is not for everyone. One needs to be open-minded
and be able to appreciate experimental music before checking out this record.
"Throwing Shapes" features 13 tracks including an 11 minute medley of abrasive
hardcore experimentation. Again, Low Profile deserve commendation for the album
design. Everything is nicely packaged and the design on the CD looks great. The
CD is even enhanced for the PC allowing you to check out the lyrics, some links
and a few pictures and movies. Low Profile is a young band full of ideas that
they're not scared of incorporating into their sound, which is a nice trait in
today's bland musical scene full of Blink 182 soundalikes.
