Album Notes

After 5 full lengths and at least as many years, Low Profile sat down and wrote the most focused material of their careers. Then they worked with a new engineer in a new studio and tried new techniques for recording to match their new style of song writing. This album and its well thought out production is the full package and truly representative of Low Profiles sound and what they stand for.

new album ROCKS!!

I've listened to this a couple times already but always while doing stuff on the computer so it hasn't gotten my full attention. Right now I'm giving it the full attention it deserves... Let me start by saying song #1 - Ultraviolence - is fucking awesome. A very very good hardcore/punk style, great lyrics, etc. Song #2 - High Gravity - also awesome. The intro music, then when the singing starts... all around very classic hardcore/punk stylez. So far songs 1 & 2 remind me of a cross between Sick Of It All + NRSV + Black Flag...... as in the sound of the music, not having to do with anything of the bands themselves. holy shit song 3 just started ('The Will To Kill')... also very good so far, more classic shit! this is honestly better than a lot of the crap i was subjected to at Hellfest too this album blows 'Hybrid Style' out of the water, in my personal opinion the intro to song #4 - Milwaukee - what movie is that from?! i know i've heard that before, i just can't pick out which movie.... this song is also good, more punk flow to it than a hardcore one (at least in how i view punk/hardcore styles)... track 5 ("Hotboxed"): very good again, wished it was a little longer track 6 'Intermission' is just that, a 26 second intermission from some movie or something, no music to review track 7 "A Radical New Idea" was over before i knew it at only 1:05, no prob though, i like the ending track 8 "One Mississippi" some classic punk anthem stylez track 9 "Studio Nightmare" is all jamming no lyrics which is cool, something different track 10 "JPF" (feat. Bill Knobs) was good too, not sure what "JPF" is or who Bill Knobs is, but sounded good.... and of course there's all the "bonus material" after this, such as that classic prank call
