Album Notes

Dog's Hymns represents the past two years of writing and touring. These songs have grown so much, some are almost as old as Low Red Land, and they seem to sound true. The Hangar (where we recorded in Sacramento, CA) is an incredible space. It used to be a Shriner Hall, has these high ceilings and skateboard ramps, and you can sleep there and stay up late after you record. We were able to immerse ourselves in that place, feel the days get hotter and try to track in between trains passing. We are lucky to have worked with Robert Cheek. He knows the Hangar so well, and can make whatever you hope to hear happen. To tour behind Dog's Hymns gives us a new steam, and we are excited to keep learning from these songs. We are proud to finally have this album, and we hope you like how it sounds.
