Marvelous, Classic singing in the style of the Golden Age of Opera
author: Harry Conninger
This CD gave me tremendous pleasure on many levels because the singing of Luba is a lost art and her selections were uniquely eclectic and entertaining. Her operatic voice is a natural wonder and the positive influence of her teacher, Maria Callas, adds a legendary luster to an already special talent. The selections sung in Russian with Vernon Duke at the piano were especially delicious. Duke was an amazing piano virtuoso and her performance of the unjustly obscure "Ages Ago" was a highlight for me. All in all, this CD gave me a great deal of pleasure.
