Album Notes

Third album from Norweigan progressive legends LUCIFER WAS offers a more well though album that part contains a little more blues influenced style, but also more symphonic as they add much orchestration than before. The flutes and dreamy vocals as as present as always, with a clear JETHRO TULL influence. Mr axeman delivers some excellent bleeding guitar solos, much outstanding in the CAPTAIN BEYOND cover "Armworth".

The is a release filled with magic and love for the 70's scene - a time when music had no limits or boundaries.

Blues From Hella

Great album. I'm really enjoying it. Za Za Banshee is fantastic. A geat song for altered states of mind. The Captain Beyond cover "Armworth" was done with a great twist of sound. It's familiar but different. I will buy all the other albums of Lucifer Was soon.
