Too Original?

I really like this type of music and have been a fan of it for 30 years!  This is a great album, but I was very disappointed to find out it is recorded monauraly (like the original recordings?).  No explanation was given when I wrote to The Lucky Stars. Still recommended if that doesn't matter to you.
