(About MP3 downloads at CD Baby)

"A major work of art. A song like 'Have to Go' sounds like it could open for Shania Twain. Then a few songs later is 'Just for You' which could have appeared in a John Hughes movie (Say Anything, Breakfast Club)." Derek Dunn, Barrhaven Independent

  • Good stuff...

All and all good stuff. Liked some of the tunes very much. I'm a big fan of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. For some reason I kept coming back to that as a reference as I listened through. Thanks for sharing.

  • a terrific folk/rock musician

Luc Normand is a terrific folk/rock musician who also dabbles in children's music. I've listened to one of his kids' songs; it is outstanding! I hope he'll do more than just dabble in this genre. And he's an all-around nice guy, too!

  • A major work of art...
author: Derek Dunn - Barrhaven Independent (Jul 6, 2007)

(...) a major work of art (...) not unlike P.E.I.’s Lenny Gallant or Canadian icon Murray McLauchlan (...) A song like “Have to Go” sounds like it could open for Shania Twain. Then a few songs later is “Just for You” which could have appeared on a John Hughes movie soundtrack. (...) Many of his songs, employing simple words and images, lend themselves to multiple interpretations. (...) Normand is the rare exception.
