Howard "Guitar" Luedtke & Blue Max is an Eau Claire, Wisconsin rock blues band, that has opened or played with some of the best in the blues world today, including: Long John Baldrey, Sugar Blue, Lonnie Brooks, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials, Tinsley Ellis, Jeff Healey, Jimmy Johnson, Kenny Neal, A.C. Reed, Eddy Shaw, James Solberg, Hubert Sumlin, Koko Taylor, George Thorogood, Joe Louis Walker and Johnny Winter.
One of the most versatile trio's around, Howard "Guitar" Luedtke & Blue Max perform regularly at Rock, Blues and Jazzfests all over Minnesota and Wisconsin. Many who have seen Howard "Guitar" Luedtke & Blue Max have become big fans of their rockin' electric blues style.
In 2001, Howard "Guitar" Luedtke & Blue Max placed second in the Rock category of Contest 4 of Ed McMahon's NextBigStar.com Internet video contest. They have released three CDs on the False Dog label, including one recorded in Gleisdorf, Austria.

Well what do you say about a guy who has done more to keep blues alive in the central Wisconsin area than anyone I know of.I have jammed with him several times...and it takes a brave man like Howard to say "go ahead do what you want",and then he digs like some some kind of woodtick makin what you do look and sound extra-tasty.
