A bodega is a store, or a corner grocery. My corner grocer growing up was named Joe. "Joe store" we all called it. I loved the privilege and honor it was to be asked to go to Joe store to buy Penny candy along with whatever Mom or Dad wanted us to get.
Creating this music helped me through a rough time in my life. When you are overwhelmed sometimes you got to say "Hallelujah anyway" or have the courage to be "Proud of what you feel". The song "Jumpin Saturday" is a Sabath day reference, the day of rest and fun. "Taino love" is a light and breezy Boriqua Anthem. The thumping hot "Booty Bi Bo" appears on Viacom's MTV's MADE. The jazz chill smoothe "Nothing left" is a break up ballad produced by Producer and Songwriter Marc Mozart.
Please enjoy Spiritual Bodega and lets continue to make love and endlessly love to love each other forever.

Spiritual Bodega

How special that Lugo thinks enough of his spiritual gift to provide his listeners with a Bodega of spiritually uplifting music for all ages: some have an R&B grove others an element of hip hop edge that again all ages can vibe to. I love Hallelujah Anyway, cause it's real, Taino love has a unique Mariachi horn sound in the background that is great and I love the words. Lugo is known for his rhythmically popping beats and he doesn't let us down in Spiritual Bodega especially with Jumpin Saturday a real party down tune. I love Booty Bi Bo and could see it with a reggea rhythm behind it to make it stand out. I would have loved to hear Proud be much more driving and extra funky instead of melodic perhaps a funkier hook with back ground singers. Don't Sleep is really hot and sensual and Lugo's voice is in great form he's right in his R&B niche here, with great back ground vocals. Nothing left ends the CD and I love the words and arrangement. Spiritual Bodega is another winner by Lugo. He's got some library of music - he's a young genius and I'm looking out for him to hit the Neo Soul circuit hot and popping.
