Luke Johnson's debut album is full of fresh original sounds and funky grooves that leave you wondering, What comes next? Paramount Rock? First-rate Funk? Unrivaled Reggae? The answer is all that and then some! Every track on Light Bringer is unique from the hard hitting "Cost," to the timeless Bluegrass anthem "His Mark," and the funked up jams of "Love Like Yours" and "More or Less Free." Songs such as "Electric," and "Can't Walk Alone" showcase Luke's acoustic piano vibe and noticeable wit within his lyrics. The Reggae fever of "Next Mans Shoes" transports you to tropical bliss where as the social commentary within "Mine is Better" definitely leave you thinking and probably laughing.
Who says that you can only wear one hat? Luke refuses to conform to any standard. With a little help from several guest artists such as Chris Henry (guitar, bass, mandolin), Jesse Shultzaburger (drums), Jenny Leigh Obert (Fiddle), and Murphy Henry (Banjo).
