This album, Tarantula, was recorded perfectly flat. No tone equilization, no reverb, no compression or chorus. No overdubs. No corrections.
Fourteen songs, recorded in one sitting, one take. Just as if you were in the front row of my live show!
The only editing at all done to this recording is that the space between songs, where I retuned the guitar, was trimmed out so that the listener doesn't hear the retuning.
And of course, you don't hear the absolutely hilarious jokes, stories and other live audience patter that goes on in my live show..:-)
It's as naked as an acoustic guitar can get.
The Guitar is a Lowden F-23 Cedar/Walnut, setup and customized by Luthier Michael Bashkin in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The guitar strings are CF Martin SP-4250 13-56 Phosphor Bronze.
The pickup is a stereo soundboard transducer from pick-uptheworld.com.

All accoustic instrumental guitar. Some you know, others you don't but all finger pickin good. Lumpy picks "Stairway to Heaven" like we all wish we could play that classic. And it's clean. No overdub, but you wouldn't know it. I didn't hear a flaw. Love accustic guitar? Love Lumpy.

Lumpy's usual marvelous job of playing

Three of the cuts stand out for me, all three for different reasons. "The Rain Song" and "Recumulated" of yours are really nice, chock full of melodic and harmonic ideas. surprisingly, "Stairway" is one of my favorites. It's a fresh take without failing to respect the original.
