Album Notes

Lunar Mansion is a thunderous four-piece rock outfit based in Columbia, Missouri. This is a band that was formed with one simple goal: to deliver a visceral, blistering, rock and roll experience. Upon their formation in 2008, these boys quickly realized that they had tapped into a force of nature too powerful to be contained. The list of band members reads like a veritable rogue's gallery, featuring the incomparable Josh Wrong, the inconceivable Blango, the illustrious Mike Danger, and the impetuous Diggy Splash.

Lunar Mansion's debut album Nuclear Family is a blast of catchy hooks, pounding rhythms, and jagged guitar riffs. While the raw energy and excitement will no doubt catch your ear, the dynamics and atmosphere of this album are the reason you'll keep listening long after you've memorized every last word.

Lunar Mansion loves you!

I'm listening to Lunar Mansion's "Nuclear family" CD as I write - you'll enjoy,

I'm a fan of Lunar Mansion's live act. I attended Lunar Mansion's CD release party/concert for their "Nuclear family" CD at the Blue Fugue, Columbia, MO, on April 20, 2011. The studio CD does a really good job of giving you a feel for their live act. The CD is a heavy hitting, kick-ass debute. Their music is what Rock & Roll should be - edgy & beat heavy -- every song is different. Every word of the vocals is crystal clear. My favorite song on the album is "Death of Me" - maybe in subsequent releases, they'll lengthen it to 6-8 minutes, which is what it deserves. When you watch the band members perform live, the drums and bass drive the act and talk back-and-forth to each other, while the lead guistarist and vocalist soar. The performers really put out for the crowd -- their act is great theatre. I wish I had the lead singer's charisma. I recommend that you give Lunar Mansion's "Nuclear family" CD a listen on-line and buy yourself a copy. I'm listening to it now at home, as I type this. You'll enjoy it over & over again.

Face Melting Rock

This album is amazing. It has kind of a feel of that old rock that was made just for the sake of loving to make it. It has elements of past rock (The Doors) and the rock of today (White Stripes)...while retaining a raw and unique sound. There are no bells and whistles here. No synthesizers or beat machines, just a well mixed sound that allows you to pick out all the elements of the music. A nice blend of some slower songs (Lie, Cheat & Steal and Raise the Lights) and some get your ass off the couch and dance tracks (Out of Her Mind, Degenerate Heart, Let's Shake, and Don't Make Me Wait). I'll be listening to this for a good long while. Them Mansion boys did real good.
