Peng Lu
began her performance career at the age of six. In 1978 she entered the Shanghai Conservatory of Music after graduate with Bachelor Degree of Art in 1985, she became a faculty meber of Shanghai Conservatory of music. She had attended over hundred diverse performances since 1989, in clude perforing in New York at Carnegie Recital Hall, Taipei Theatre respectively. In 1991, she made her debut Yang-qin recital with Taipei Traditional Orchestra at eh Fouth Taipei Festival of Traditional Arts. Also she was invited to perform accomany with Mr. Wong On-yuen, who is director of traditional orchestra of hong kong, at hong kong city hall in 1995.
Her performing style is lyric, implicit, sincere and elegant She is highly praised for her Artistry. The modern Yangqin music of "Petrel" is first played by her and spread in china and other countries.

Yang Qin
(Hammered Dulcimer) A stroked-string chinese musical instrument, played by using two bamboo sticks. The Yang Qin was transferred from Persia during the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644 A.D.), first began to be popular in Guang Dong regions, subsequently was prevalent throughout china. It sounds clearly, with a wide range f tones, being accompaniment to other instruments or play solo. Originally it has two sound bridges arranged in pentatonic scale, nowadays is developed to five bridges with full semitones which can change to any key easily. The perform skills are also being modified and improved.
