Joanne Lurgio - singer/songwriter -
I was 10 years old when I got my first guitar. Inspired by the music of Janis Ian & Joni Mitchell, I spent hours behind my closed bedroom door singing my heart out. Back then my music was for my pleasure only... that is until the day my church pastor convinced me to lead a folk mass... it was the 70's and every church had a folk group. I wasn't sure where to begin and I was certain I was not ready to come out of my bedroom; however, how could I say "no" to my pastor? So, with great apprehension, I agreed. I teamed up with a friend, took a deep breath and gave it my best shot. I will never forget that first mass. With knees knocking, guitars ringing & the congregation singing ... a standing ovation. MAN, did that feel good! I knew I wanted more.
Funny, life has a mind of its own and its not always easy to chase after your dreams....SKIP TO THE PRESENT.

It's been so long in coming, I almost didn't believe it was really going to happen, but... FINALLY I am so pleased to announce the arrival of, "FIND A DREAM...catch it if you dare"

Back in August 2004, I entered Lakewest Recording Studio to work with owner/engineer/producer John Paul Gauthier (Jack) to start this project, my dream . With the help of some incredible musicians; Duke Robillard, Kevin Fallon, Marty Ballou, my cousin Michael DeQuattro, Joseph Lurgio(did I mention he's my son), Paul Dube, Don Lurgio(oh yeah, he's my brother) & Mary Ann Rossoni, my words & music have come alive, each song has a life of its own.
October 2005, I caught my dream!
