LUTHER THE ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK
MUSIC COMPOSED AND CONDUCTED BY RICHARD HARVEY

LUTHER is the story of a man armed with no more than his faith and quick wit, confronting the greatest powers on earth. Director, Eric Till, tells the tale of Martin Luther's (JOSEPH FIENNES) bold actions that foster an era of personal and religious freedoms unprecedented in history. With other cast members, BRUNO GANZ (Father Johann von Staupitz). PETER USTINOV (Prince Frederick the Wise), ALFRED MOLINA (John Tetzel), CLAIRE COX (Katharina von Bora), and JONATHAN FIRTH (Girolamo Aleander), "LUTHER" presents the history of a schism that rips at the heart of the Church as the new "Protestant" movement begins, changing the world forever.

Richard Harvey's score for "Luther" has benefited from his long held interest in early music and has sparked a close creative relationship with the Latvian Radio Chorus. On the classical side, for some time now, he has toured as multi-instrumentalist alongside the guitar virtuoso John Williams, for whom he has composed several works including "Concerto Antico".

One of Britain's most experienced film composers, Richard Harvey follows a long tradition of retaining an active role in the classical music world. His most recent scores include the epic Francis Ford Coppola production "Suriyothai", the Hallmark productions "Animal Farm" and "Arabian Nights" and a British movie "Two Men Went to War" for the veteran director John Henderson.

This is one of the most beautiful soundtracks I have ever had the privilege of listening to. It is perfect for the movie and can also be greatly enjoyed by itself. I cannot say much more than that one merely has to listen to the music to know why this soundtrack is worth buying. CD Baby is a joy to do business with--fast shipping and outstanding customer service are but a couple of the benefits. In short, a highly recommended CD and seller. Thanks CD Baby!
