Perhaps Ray Charles wasn’t the only “genius hitting the road” with Georgia. If you didn’t know Luttrell is from Georgia, you will by the end of her version of Charles’s 1960 sensation. Luttrell’s customary lending of personal direction to previously recorded songs secures the belief this is a personal piece. Her daring transitions of keys and vocal ranges affectionately state she will not abide by precedent. It is this strong, yet feminine, unclad, but sophisticated grain that weaves each track into a canvas painted with bold resonance and colorful modulation, all drawn with steady intonation. Luttrell suddenly became not much older, but all growed up. Her character, confidence and power have doubled since Grits’n’Pulp. Luttrell has marked a sound in Pomegranate that is sweet, finger-lickin’ syrup with a twist of lemon to keep you puckered and wanting more.

One of the best Cd's I have heard in a long time. Powerful vocals. If you like soulful bluesy type music this is the cd for you. This girl is talented. She is also one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I would recommend buying this cd! You won't be dissapointed. And if you get the chance to see her live DO IT!

I really like this. Gritty but sweet. She means it when she sings it. "Song for John" got me and props for "Georgia On My Mind".
