Their website says, ”We wanted something that represented an upscale lounge ambience with a little retro touch.” The trio are literally a world of influence to Luxo 100 as New Orleans’ native Blake Amos spent time in Brazil studying the Bosa Nova beat before settling in New York where he met DJ Ramsay Rawson who had lived in Paris and worked extensively as a producer in the downtempo genre. The two discovered sultry jazz vocalist Elizabeth Bruce who had previously sung in jazz ensembles in London, San Francisco and Tokyo.
