Lydia Gray sings American and Brazilian Jazz Standards with a skillful refinement and warmth which reveals a glimpse of her distinguished entertainment lineage. Ms. Gray is the daughter of 50's singer Betty Johnson (early Tonight Show fame) granddaughter to the founders of the celebrated Johson family singers of Charlotte, NC as well as sister to the well-known, Spainish big band singer, ELisabeth Gray.
Lydia Gray has delighted auidiences in New York City at the famous Algonquin, Cafe Pierre amd Danny's Skylight Room. Ms. Gray now joins guitarist Ed Eastrdge in a style that gracefully blends a modern sound into classic popular Brazilian standards. This new CD is filled with sublty romantic music which engages the listener yet is ideally suited for dinner accompaniment. This was a great CD, that allowed us to listen to Lydia Gray's full range of skills. That light, soft music harks back to earlier days, but the best part is to listen to someone who sings so you can hear every word!

This album is a breeze

It's not often that you get a disc where you like every track, but this is one of them. Great for stress relief after a hard day. Lydia's diction is marvellous and as the album title indicates, this cd is a gentle breeze
