notes
"..Fills the space formerly occupied by Robert Smith and THE CURE" - Albuquerque Alibi.
Comprised of 10 dark entries, NEW RELIGON is a diary of love, hate and the suicidal nature of relationships.
"Every note, every word, was written from the darkest place in my heart. I didn't have to dig deep to find it, they was
and always has been a dark cloud hanging over me" said LYLAH vocalist, guitarist, creator Norman Matthew.
Tapped by many industry indsiders and publications as "THE CURE for a new generation", NEW RELIGION is
LYLAH's testament that mainstream music is in desparate need of and underground facelift. If music was a vein,
LYLAH are the heroin in your arm. From the Depeche Mode vibe of "Heaven In Your Eyes" to the Smashing
Pumpkins feel of "Bullets When We Kiss", LYLAH lyricist Norman Matthew is eerily reminiscent of a young Robert
Smith. Influenced by Nine Inch Nails, Type O Negative, Depeche Mode, Jane's Addiction, The Cure, Joy Divison and
Switchblade Symphony, LYLAH have garnered a rabid underground following in the past three years sharing the
stage with rock luminaries such as EVANESCENCE,THE VANISHED,theSTART,(HED)PE and STATIC-X, while appearing on the VANS WARPED TOUR 2004 and 2005...

Kind of cool. I like this album nonetheless and it is true that it is dreary and very mood oriented... The Cure'ish. Well, why not. It reminds me of some things from Vanity Beach though who are from Finland, too kool.
drums
author: long time analyzer of the bandmy only complaint on this cd is the drums sound like crap...everything else is wayyy tooo loud....i noticed with a lot of lylah's cd's which i own everything from rare demos, to the national releases, the vocals are always louder than everything. But tis still an awesome cd, just crappy production.
Electric poetry
author: Ernie S.This is what radio stations SHOULD be playing. When a song or songs gives you a lump in your throat and butterflies in your stomach you have stumbled upon something very special, and that is a synopsis of this CD.
Beyond The Stars
author: TylerThis CD is amazing... I don't think I've ever loved a CD as much as I've fallen for this one... LYLAH is beyond all words. So thank you for this new love! -Tyler
