Her first CD, "Spreading Wings", was a collaboration with Jan Michael Looking Wolf, a Native American flute player.This instrumental CD was a finalist in the Independent Music Awards for Best Song in 2007 and a winner in the Indian Summer Music Awards in the Native Spirit category.The blend of silver and Native flutes, harp, guitar and gentle percussion is relaxing yet powerful, taking the listener on an inner journey.
Lynda's second CD "Where Our Waters Meet" features Lynda on harp, silver and Native American flutes, voice and orcarina with guest artists on guitar,electric cello,world percussion,and mandolin.This cd has a New Age-World Beat feel, with flavors of Latin, Middle Eastern,and Native American styles,with Lynda 's unique original style, mellow, yet spicy and varied.This CD was a 2009 finalist for Best New Age album of the year in the Independent Music Awards.
Lynda has skills in a variety of healing arts professions.She had a private practice in massage therapy for many years blending different styles of deep tissue massage and energy healing.She is an R.N.and has worked as a hospice nurse and mental health nurse.She currently teaches mindfulness based stress relief and is a Hakomi trained counselor.
Lynda tours around Oregon sharing her original music and weaving into it stories and poetry from around the world.Her music has its inspiration from her life experiences and work with a variety of people and situations.There are themes of calmness, expansion, uplifting and renewing of ourselves and our spirit,mixed with humor and fun.
