notes
"Six gorgeous, acoustic guitar-led (with full band accompaniment), dreamily sung pop songs that falls smack dab into the realm of artists like Neil Finn/Crowded House, Fran King, Tamas Wells, Elliott Smith, Arthur Yoria and David William! Featuring heavenly harmonies and lots of layered guitars!EXCELLENT!!!" Koolkatmusik
"Lyndon Wesley has two sons, Finn and Jet. His new mini-album, While The World Lay Sleeping, is more Finn than Jet. And this guy deserves the Crowded House comparison because this is classic pop songwriting. The disc grabs you from the opening line A broken man is what I am... But though some of the lyrics are downbeat, Lyndon is a melody master." Inpress Magazine
"Best song on this six-tracker would have to be the beautiful upbeat 'A New Ceremony' but with five other equally as interesting songs, Lyndon Wesley looks set to make his mark." The Buzz
"Popboomerang has been very impressed with the new 6 track EP from local artist Lyndon Wesley. You can check him out at www.lyndonwesley.com but to our ears he is the perfect blend of acts such as Neil Finn & newer artists like Shane Nicholson" Popboomerang
Every so often an artist comes your way who stands out from the crowd. Lyndon Wesley is that artist. A distinctive individual who continues to win enormous respect as a writer, performer and producer. After returning from an Australian tour in 1996 Lyndon ventured out as a solo performer. He has since won numerous songwriting awards, produced three albums and has played support to the likes of Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool, Mondo Rock) Mark Seymour (Hunters and Collectors) and Don Walker (Cold Chisel).
While The World Lay Sleeping is Lyndon's superb new offering and arguably his finest work to date. Hear sublime melodies ebb and flow against a sonic backdrop of guitars, drums, piano and strings. Its hard to imagine tiring of this mini-album as each successive listen reveals something new within the arrangement. Mature, memorable songs that appear to be as instinctive as they are orchestrated. While The World Lay Sleeping really does show what an extraordinary songwriter Lyndon is.

author: Kathleen E WangI enjoyed listening to Lyndon's album.Great sounds and nice to sing with the way his voice slides up and down. Was happy to get the cd so quick after ordering it from CD baby. I met Lyndon in a coffee shop called the "Americana" in Long Beach, California.Found cd baby online to order this cd. The owner of the cafe asked me to bring it over so she can play it for the Aussie I was sitting with when Lyndon was there. It will be a pleasant surprise for him. He enjoyed the time Lyndon took to chat about home.
Does exactly what it says on the tin!!!! Beautiful! Uplifting!
author: CoogeeWow I love this CD. I was instantly sold from my very first listen on Lyndons My space page. Its very rare that you feel like you have known a song for ever, the first time you hear it. It has not left my CD player since it arrived on my door steps very welcome mat. Brilliant!!!!!
This EP is awesome! Buy it buy it!
author: gnome22I bought this EP at the launch and have played it so much that my housemate is now sick of it. Lyndon has a great voice and writes really cool melodies with poetic (but not wanky) lyrics. My favourite: Happiness is Falling Down - what a great song about having hope despite feeling like it's impossible to hold life together sometimes.
A great collection of songs I never tire of.
author: BreaI love the melodies and their vocal interpretation on this record. All the songs are well crafted and thoughtfully arranged. Sensitive and emotive, these songs paint lasting images and I can't help but keep coming back to them.
