Album Notes

Biography
In a world of recycled, formulaic pop songs, there is a forgotten place deep in the woods of art and love and rock and roll. This is where you will find Lyndzie Taylor. Forget pink tube tops and dance routines, Lyndzie is the real deal. She is not only a girl and her guitar, but also a girl with an unceasing passion for one thing: music.

If Alanis Morrisette, Gwen Stefani and the Go Go's got together and jammed, the music might sound a little like Lyndzie. Add a touch of Michelle Branch and a little bit of the Goo Goo Dolls and you have a slight taste of Lyndzie's remarkable live acoustic show. Whether behind a band or just her guitar, Lyndzie's powerful voice rocks every venue she plays.

Singing and writing from a young age, Lyndzie, now eighteen years old, is already a seasoned songwriter. Some would describe her gift as "Youthful Maturity", but Lyndzie believes that art is art no matter what the age of the creator. Evidently, it is effective to start creating the art as early as possible. Lyndzie has already received multiple songwriting awards with the Northern California Songwriter's Association as well as local and Internet-wide recognition for her music, including spotlights and chart topping positions at Artistlaunch.com and MP3.com. Lyndzie has been frequently recognized and interviewed by online fanzines across the web, and has shared the stage with acclaimed songwriters such as Edie Carey and Rachel Sage, as well as IndieGrrl Founder Holly Figueroa. She performed her first national music industry showcase at the 2002 EAT'M Conference in Las Vegas, NV. In April of 2003 she was selected for the LocalMusicScenes.com Compilation CD Volume IV and performed at the CD release party for a crowd of over 600. She has also been selected as a featured artist in DenverLocalMusicscene.com, and she performs frequently all over Colorado.

Rock songs with a pop sensibility are what you'll hear while listening to Lyndzie Taylor. You might also be able describe it as pop songs with a rock edge. Either way, Lyndzie's music is so widely palatable that it exceeds the boundaries of genres. A nice balance is given with her insightful lyrics and pop hooks, so as not to alienate the varying tastes of listeners. Every song tells a story, drawing you in, making you wonder what is going on in her mind.

If you ever thought that every teenager was shallow and immature, then Lyndzie has something to tell you. Her music is a wake up call to the youth of America, proving that being beautiful does not mean taking your clothes off; it means exposing your true self, flaws and all.

Industry Quotes:

"Lyndzie's voice ranges from the sweet and sensitive to a powerful, attitude laced ballad that shreds the image of a typical 16 year old girl. Insightful and catchy, denying her talent only displays ignorance. I eagerly anticipate what Lyndzie will produce in the future. " - Josh Churnick - www.denverlocalmusicscene.com -

Scratch Paper is a versatile romp for Lyndzie

Lyndzie Taylor is a great singer/songwriter who finally displays her ability in this raw CD. Rather than hide her vocal talent behind over-produced tracks, Lyndzie has chosen to create an emotional and breathtaking acoustically based promo. This lets he show her real talent at crafting and delivering a song that is more about the music and less about the fanfare. I look forward to her next musical projectand can't awit to see how she further expands her musical poweress. Shades of Grey is a great track. The best by far.

Fantastic! We saw Lyndize perform at the Java Lounge in Loveland, Colorado and she blew us all away! There was a bigger name there that night but sorry to say Lyndzie outshined her easily. We bought this CD that night and have been lovin' it. She's got a crisp and accurate sound on guitar. That combined with her powerful sultry voice makes for some great songs. Nice job Lyndzie...we look forward to hearing more!
