On Jan. 26, 2006, I was the opening act for Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus of Dreams (a truly incredible music machine), at the historic Puppet House Theater, Stony Creek, CT. The gig was billed as a 2006 New Years Celebration - The Year of The Dog. The turn-out, as expected, quickly surpassed available seating and the Theater went into it's SRO Mode. Gandalf Murphy's performance, was as always - riveting. The surprise of the night, however, was Lynette Turner, (and what a delightful surprise it was). Turner joined in on my set, armed with African Drums and a stellar voice. Her unwavering focus, as she pounded out rythyms to songs, many of which she had heard only once before, lent itself to a precision that was astounding. The proverbial icing-on-the cake was served when Lynette launched into the vocal of my song The Act of Trusting. The crowd was mesmerized - as was I. Lynette's original tunes on this CD, Songbird Serenade - On The Wings of Angels, cuts across all boundaries ... age ... culture...race .... ethnicity. Her resonating messages of positivity and inclusiveness are beautifully crafted and sound as if sung by The Angels themselves.

Songbird Serenade had a dramatic affect on my attempts to reach enlightenment. I find it adventurous yet calming at the same time. Lyrically, the collective work is uplifting.
