Lyn started playing guitar and singing as a child. As she grew older, she knew she had something to offer the community with her music. While having a Masters Degree in choral conducting, singing has always been her passion. From James Taylor to Sheryl Crow to the Beatles, Lyn's repertoire is broad. She has always remained true to her folksy side and enjoys singing songs by many artists, but is sure to capture any listener with her original songs as well. Her CD, Stealing Laughter, reveals Lyn's artistic side showcasing her lyrical voice.
Lyn formed her band, Lyn Koonce & The Hours, for venues that call for more than Lyn and her guitar. Performing at street festivals and local establishments has become Lyn's second home.
Lyn just completed her 2nd CD "LONG RIDE HOME" which will be released on October 30th in Asheville, NC. While in Asheville Lyn will open for Tret Fure at Mountain Laurel B&B. A third CD, by popular demand, will soon be out for children. Once a month Lyn entertains children of all ages at a local coffee shop.
Lyn is currently the Continuity Coordinator for two major radio stations in Greensboro, NC and she is also the Director of Music at a local church.
