Lynn was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1958, and has been playing the piano since the age of 12. Lynn's musical roots come from Gospel, which is where Lynn was first exposed to the Piano and the Hammond B-3 organ. Lynn's mother has always been a major musical influence on Lynn through her involvement with Gospel music and Church Choirs.
Following college, Lynn joined a R&B/Pop music band in the early 1980s, which served as his first exposure to live show performing. Following years of playing shows in local clubs and special events, Lynn began writing and arranging his own original Jazz material, which evolved into his debut CD,
Smooth Sailing, which was followed by several successful releases including: "Walk In The Park" in 2001; "Working It! in 2002; "P'zazz!" in 2004; and his latest release "What's Up!" in 2012.
