Album Notes

Lynn DiMenna was, for nearly ten years, host/producer of "Welcome to the Club", a radio show heard on WRTN-WVOX in Westchester. She has interviewed well over three hundred Broadway, cabaret and jazz legends, hottest stars and brightest newcomers and introduced her listeners to the music of hundreds more. She recently moved to WVOF-88.5FM in Fairfield, Ct. as co-host with Jeffrey C. Williams of "AT THE RITZ!," covering swing, big band, jazz, cabaret and Sinatra. The show can also be heard worldwide via the internet at www.wvof.org.

As a performer, she has appeared in many of the area's finest cabarets and supper clubs including the Oak Room at The Algonquin Hotel, Arci's, Judy's and Danny's Skylight Room. She has been a featured vocalist with The Stan Rubin Orchestra and has also made guest appearances with The Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw and Count Basie Orchestras. "Sweet & Swing" is her debut recording.

THE BAND:
Paul Greenwood has appeared as pianist and singer in New York's premier night clubs including the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, the Russian Tea Room, the Ballroom. The Bottom Line, Eighty Eights and Don't Tell Mama. As musical director, he has worked with George Burns, Ellie Stone, Anne Hampton Callaway, Nancy LaMott and Mary Cleere Haran among others. He is the recipient of the prestigious Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Director and the MAC Award for Outstanding Jazz Instrumentalist.

Linc Milliman is a true jazz bass "luminary" who has appeared with many of the finest jazz groups and pop vocalists in the world including Maynard Ferguson, Al Cohn and Zoot Sims, Vic Damone and Maureen McGovern.
Most recently, "everybody's favorite bassist" has provided rhythmic support for cabaret legend, Julie Wilson, favorite diva, Mary Cleere Haran, multi-talented, Hal Linden and rising stars, Catherine Dupuis and Sara Partridge.

Joe Corsello began his career in the United States Army Band. He went on to play with jazz greats, Benny Goodman, Marion Mc Partland, World's Greatest Jazz Band, Gerry Mulligan, Zoot Sims, Al Cohn, Gene Bertoncini, Michael Moore and Jack McDuff. He currently plays with the Mark Morganelli Jazz Forum All Stars and the Joyce DiCamillo Trio.

Warren Chiasson has been called "one of the six top vibraphonists of the last half century" by the N.Y.Times. A master of the distinctive four-mallet technique, he has been a member of the George Shearing Quintet, the Chet Baker Quartet, the Tal Farlow Trio as well as his own group. He has played on over 100 recordings and has three albums of his own, "Quartessence", "Good Vibes for Kurt Weill" and "Point & Counterpoint".

Gene Bertoncini is considered one of the great guitar players of our time. He is best known for playing jazz on the classical guitar. He's performed with The Benny Goodman Sextet, singers: Tony Bennett, Lena Horne, jazz masters: Buddy Rich, Wayne Shorter and Clark Terry. He performed regularly on the Merv Griffin and Johnny Carson shows and continues to be one of the most popular studio musicians in NYC. He is presently on the summer faculty at The Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y.

Harold Zinno earned an applied degree in jazz trumpet from North Texas State University. Based in the Waterbury, Ct. area, he has been a member of the Sonny Costanza Jazz Orchestra and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. He has also toured with Wayne Newton, Tony Bennett, Steve Lawrence, Edie Gorme and Mitzi Gaynor. From 1980-1994 he was an "artist-in-residence at Quinnipiac College and now performs regularly with the Harold Zinno Quintet at venues throughout the tri-state area.

Monica Attell holds a MA degree from the Boston Conservatory and has been active for years with blues and gospel groups in the metro area. In addition to her distinctive vocals with the rock group, ZetaBane, she is an accomplished pianist and flute player.
