Lynne Halliday was born and raised in Montreal but fell in love with New York and Broadway because her Manhattan-based grandmother, Luba, would take her to a Broadway show once a year, buy her the cast album and not complain when Lynne played it continually, singing along at the top of her lungs.
College, acting school, musical theatre, marriage, parenthood, life- all have conspired to create “The Mood I’m In”. From the manic hilarity of Christine Lavin’s “Regretting....” to the splendour of David Brunetti’s arrangement of Irving Berlin/Charles Strouse & Alan Jay Lerner’s “Say It Isn’t So/ Dance a Little Closer” to the jazzy silliness of Roy Alfred & Billy May’s “Lean Baby”, these are all songs that had to be sung. By Lynne. Now.
Enjoy!
