Lynn Peterson fell in love with singing when she discovered a mirror could be the audience, a hairbrush the microphone, and a porch lamp the spot light…there was no stopping her…..
Later on, Lynn worked with renowned Las Vegas music composer Al Alverez, before moving to Los Angeles. There she studied with the Roy Harvey Production Company.
In 1983, Lynn and her husband ventured to Mexico. For the next six years Lynn worked with the Los Cabos band, as well as several Mariachi bands between La Paz and San Jose Del Cabo. While in Mexico, Lynn learned the beauty and smoothness of the Latin ballads that she includes in her music repertoire today. Hey it’s how Vicki Carr got started! (singing with the Mariachis, that is)
Back in the states, Lynn worked with many Las Vegas artists, including Dick Kastel, Woody Woods, Lawrence T. and Tom Roberts. She appeared at various casinos in Vegas as well as surrounding areas in Nevada.
In 1998, Lynn decided it was time to start her own group and formed The Lynn Peterson Band. She has been performing since throughout Nevada and now in the Pacific North West where she and her family have lived since the summer of 2005.
