COWBOYS IN THE KINGDOM is a little homegrown album produced by singer/songwriter Pastor Lynn Walker (me) with the help of "THE TRIPLE CROSS BAND" from COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

The title cut, COWBOYS IN THE KINGDOM, started out as a poem by a great cowboy Christian poet, Ken Howry. The first time that I read this poem, I could hear the music for it in my head as I read it. I hope that someday this song will be the Cowboy Church National Anthem. Ken also penned the lyrics to another song on the album, THE GATE. BIG RED is NOT about the OU football team, but a rollicking story about my Daddy's old Red Bone coon hound. I'M ON FIRE is also a hand clapper/footstomper that calls us to "get on fire" for the Lord. I'VE NEVER SEEN A RIGHTEOUS MAN FORESAKEN is a great song, written by me and a great friend and songwriter, Pastor David Howell from Muskogee, Oklahoma. HORSES AND CHARIOTS is a scripture song that I wrote about who we should put our trust in. LOVE YOUR ENEMIES may be the best song that I will ever write. It is based on a true story about a young man whose life is taken by a drunk driver and then his parents respond by........well, you will just have to hear it to believe it. LIFE IS A TEST is a humorous song that I wrote while reading Rick Warren's book. It's funny, but so true that it hurts. TRAIN OF THE LORD is another footstomper that I co-wrote with Brother Bobby Boyles from OKC. He wrote the lyrics and I wrote the music. SURRENDER TO YOU is a song that I wrote dealing with why people won't surrender their life to the Lord: Fear, Pride, and Confusion. This is an Evangelistic ballad that has helped lead many people to the Lord.

Like I said, this CD ain't nothin' fancy, but the songs come from where they are supposed to come from....the heart. There's no fancy artwork, no fancy paper insert. All you’re going to get is a CD with a paper label in a cheap case, and that's not shrink-wrapped either. But the songs aren't cheap, believe me, they were paid for dearly.

Pastor Lynn Walker and the Triple Cross Band are available to come minister at your Cowboy Church or other events. Pastor Lynn is the pastor of COWBOY COUNTRY CHURCH in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and the Praise and Worship leader of the Triple Cross Band. We have services on Sunday morning at 10:30 am and Wednesday night Fellowship and Revelation at 7:00pm. We are available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. We play a lot of original country gospel plus many of your old favorites. Pastor Lynn is a well-known singer/songwriter and plays bass, keyboard, acoustic, and electric guitar. All the members of the Triple Cross Band are singer/songwriters and include: Mike Macy-drums/bass/lead and harmony vocals, Karil Walker-guitar/harmonica/lead and harmony vocals, Linda Baldonado-vocals, and Carolyn Walker-vocals. When he is not on the road, we sometimes even have David Short join us on Fiddle, lap steele, and harmonica. We have a new CD entitled “COWBOYS IN THE KINGDOM” available upon request.
