Lyrics by tia is a forum where Taiwo I. Ajao shares her literary work. She chose the title "tia" because she considers herself as one of God's many, many "typists", noting her initials after each God-inspired writing. She has nurtured her passion for creative and song writing for over 15 years. Believing that her gifts are for more than her personal edification, she seeks to bring her lyrics to life by incorporating the gifts and talents of individuals with like visions and minds.

The lyrics of What am I Here For? were written in June 2010 and enhanced in 2011 out of a longing to passionately fulfill purpose. An exciting collaborative effort ensued in the Fall of 2011 with the initial interest and lyrical contributions of lead vocalist Bunmi Ogunbayo and song development and design from the creative genius of our instrumentalist and producer, Olayinka Adetoye. The song was even more enhanced by jazzy contributions to the bridge by vocalist Olaoluwa Ayilegbe, the soothing vocals of Brandi Carrington and the authoritative voice of tia’s husband, Dr. OlaWale Ajao.
