“The Un-Genre” is a 6 song project put together by Sudanese artist Mosno, his goal is to try as hard as he can to break the stereotypes that are known of the Sudanese man in America, and he’s doing that through music. No it is not a political album, its simply six songs of both love and heart ache, but it is the way that it is being performed is the subtle message.
Mosno called his many of his local, and super talented friends to join him on these songs. Artists such as ilyAIMY (acoustic grunge band), Acacia Sears (vocalist), Seeno (vocalist), Meezo (middle-eastern percussionist & violinist), Kristen Jones (cellist), Charmain Nokuri (trumpet player), and James R. Sutton (drummer). Their musical and vocal harmonies bring the songs to such a level, that this has now become the bench mark for Mosno to brake on his next project.
Because of the eclectic and exotic nature of this album, you will not hear the same arrangement of instruments twice, and because of the fantastic featured artists, there is a different flavor to each song.
“The Un-Genre” is Mosno’s 1st solo EP album to date, and because of the success he has seen from it so far, he is already planning to out-do himself for his next musical project, which will be a full album (10-12) NEW songs.
