Album Notes

This is a recording of percussion compositions inspired by a variety of African drumming influences. The CD has a pan-African sound with a general leaning towards Yoruba ceremonial drumming and trance rhythms. This CD containes tracks that are good for tribal dance routines, shamanaic facilitation and trance work. The instruments used on the recording are Djembe, Conga, Ashiko, Sogo, Sabar, Djun-djuns, Bata, Kendang, Talking drum, Shekre, Gankoqui and bongo.

Those already familiar with David Macejka's "Poi For Gadje" will be glad to know that "Hunto" is even better! The compositions are solid, dynamic and feature a very diverse range of rhythmic melody lines to keep the listener interested. If you love hand drums, you won't be disappointed in "Hunto".
