Album Notes

Maceman's Second Album- state of the art and truly exceptional!!!
Innovation and creation are words that describe Maceman's writing style. Influenced by artists such as Cat Stevens, Ron Sexsmith and The Beatles, Maceman's lyrics are eternally poetic containing deep-lying spiritual messages expressing his thoughts and feelings. Maceman is starting to see the result of hard and persistent work. "I've always known that my music could be enjoyed, but I just wasn‚'t sure how to deliver it," he remarks. "The internet makes the goal obtainable.

You will not be disappointing. Showcasing some incredible talented musicians, this album is the true package for your collection.

REVIEWS

Unable to put away!!

This is music at its best! From the first song to the end, this album takes me away. The music is as beautiful as the lyrics. This album has been on my #1 playing list, the best by far. It's a relief to hear music like this again that takes me back to the days when artists were very passionate to what they play. It couldn't be too soon hearing another album from this artist again.

Astonishing.

Wait. Just hold on there. Before I express my review, I want to throw it out there that I've been a loyal fan for as long as Maceman has hit the charts. As keen listener to all of his previous tracks, knowing that this had came out I was initally hesitant. This year, many artists have released new albums and all have disappointed me in every possible way. So when I heard Search for Freedom was out, I was scared, frankly quite petrified. Could his magical music get any better than before?  My goodness it did! If you haven't already, go get your copy first before reading the rest of this. I want it to hit you like it did me, arousing every sense of audible pleasures available. So please, come back after you've heard it, let it create its own memories in your head.  Now, pop it in your cd player, toss on your headphones (to hear each instrument fully), close your eyes, and skip to track 3; Search for Freedom. Then let the rest take care of it self. A magical marvel.  As I sat there, I suddenly remembered what inspired me to play music in the first place. Track 4, Snowflake was so amazing the cd had to make its way to the car. Believe me, this cd needs to be bought twice, one must stay in your car/ipod at all times. There's something about it that makes me want to listen to it at every moment of my day (here's where track 5, Fall Real Far, comes in). Skipping ahead to track 6, Full of Holes. This song is how I always end my days off now, usually throw it on when I get home (they'll probably end up using it in a T.V show somewhere) along with track 8, Let It Go and Track 10, The Empty House. These three songs get to me everytime I get home to my haven (thanks Maceman). Finally, my other favourite, Track 1, Someday, the kicker. I start this song usually when I get up; it will get you moving believe me (especially at 6am).  Maceman has outdone himself this time. The anticipated was well worth it. Don't judge it by my review, go experience it for yourself. They just don't make music that hits you like this anymore. Happy Listening and Happy Holidays, M. S.

Maceman does it again

I am a big fan of this guy's previous album, and now with "Search For Freedom" Maceman has really has outdone himself. Whereas "Desire and Despair" was folk-rock at its best, this album is a very poignant and spiritual personal journey. Maybe it's just me, but it reminds me somewhat of John Lennon's later works... Easy and relaxing listening - perfect for the Holidays!
