Mack the Knife, ska/punk kids out of Worcester, Massachusetts (U.S.), have been playing their unique brand of ska/punk around Worcester and MA as well as throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey for over two years now. Mack The Knife features Cha-Cha Connor on vocals, Chuck Ghizzi on guitar, Morgan Freeman on bass, Luke Knowles on trombone, and Sabat on drums.

Chuck and Morgan have been playing ska and punk music together in different bands for over a decade throughout the northeast, including Hoodrat and Pardon My Zinger (PMZ), and were the formative members of Mack the Knife. Cha Cha has spent the past two years performing punk rock as well as a variety of styles of music including early 20th century cabaret and spanish folk music, has no genre-based limits whatsoever, and thinks everyone should listen to everything good. Luke comes from jazz and classical backgrounds and brings a very unique influence to a ska band. Sabat, our drummer, kicks ass. Put together, the five of them combine to create a sound that is very unique among ska/punk bands, which pulls from old and new music of just about every genre possible.

"Mistakes were Made" features 13 original Mack The Knife tunes spanning a variety of styles and influences including ska (The Night is Darkest), punk (American Nazi) and metal (To Survive All of This). Songs are in English and Spanish, and sometimes both. Subjects covered range from the political, to the personal, to getting run over by an SUV and becoming a vengeful zombie.

"Mistakes Were Made" was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Henry Menzel at the Firehouse in Worcester MA, during a six day session in a basement where we all basically went a little nuts. You can see Henry perform with his well known ska band, Survay Says, and we give all love to them.
