I love it!

This is my favorite fiddle CD and Ashley MacLeod has become one of my favorite artists. I saw her perform live last year (she is an amazing performer) and I bought her CD on the spot. Many of the songs on this CD capture both her outstanding abilities and the essence of the Celtic music that is part of her Glengarry heritage. One of the most astounding things about this type of music is that it is popular across generations I know people in their teens, 20's , 30's, 40's , 50's and 80's personally who like this CD. Way to go Ashley! Can't wait for your next CD to come out. I'm wearing this one thin by playing it all the time.

a massage through music

Ashley is one of the premo violinists of the year, coming on strong, playing with energetic vitality, strength, and precision while producing some of the most relaxing and mysitcal fiddle playing I have heard! Her patience and laid back attitude on stage, (I saw her in Hartford, CT.), only magnifies the gift she has keeping your attention with not only her talent with the fiddle, but her confident movements on stage as she walks, struts, and occasionally does a partial Irish jig while playing. She comes across as a coy violinists, dressed in black, long blonde hair in a pony tail, a child like smile knowing she has nothing to prove playing as if she was born with a fiddle, no effort and all talent! She is a natural since mimicing her father's lessons to a student at a very young age and today she's a gem! A true wonder!

A very talented fiddler from Glengarry County

I just received my early Christmas present from CD Baby. Ashley's first CD is a very strong effort. I particularly enjoyed "Memoriees of Margaret Nixon", written by her father. She reminds me of a young Natalie MacMaster in some ways. I am really looking forward to seeing Ashley perform live in the Ottawa area.
