Album Notes

This is the "BANGIN" second release from the hot Bay Area group Mac & A.K. entitled "Money Rhyme$". This album is the long awaited follow up to the 1996 underground EP release "WestBound (For Riders Only)". The East Palo Alto Ca. natives were signed to the label Tommy Boy Records from 1995-98. The tenure with the label didn't quite turn out the way they had planned. While at the label, they got caught up in major label red tape, so they decided to move on demanding to be released from their contracts before their projects could be dropped. After leaving Tommy Boy Records, Mac & A.K. took a hiatus from the game to figure out their next plan of attack.

Returning to the rap scene in the form of the streetwise record label E&K Music Group, "Money Rhyme$" would be their first release to the world in nearly 6 years, and Boy did they come back strong. "Money Rhyme$" is filled with heat from beginning to end. The entire album is produced by group member Mac Pacino. Take a listen, as the first track "Picture That" sets the tone letting you know that you are on a long ride into their world. This albums features Gold and Platinum selling artists such as the Ambassador of the Bay E-40 on the cut "World Famous", West Coast Legends Above The Law, The Veteran Vallejo artist Mac Mall, E&K Music Group artists Top Dog Vanzetti and Money Mont on the track "Hard Hittin" and many more.
