Album Notes

Released in February of 2008, Solace is the first solo recording from pianist Neil MacPherson. For over 20 years, Neil has been performing across the country and around the world on both acoustic piano and Hammond B3 organ, always as part of a band. This release marks a deeply personal journey into his craft. The results span the emotional spectrum from haunting to joyous, and make for a rewarding listening experience. Neil has studied piano and songwriting at the University of Northern Colorado and Univeristy of California Los Angeles. He has appeared onstage with Bobby McFerrin, Marc Ford and John Popper, among others.
