Album Notes

David Wilkerson Is "The Madd Hatter". Originally from the south side of Chicago his face is a familiar one to the Kansas City music scene, and throughout the Midwest region. For the last four years, Wilkerson has been contributing his dynamic vocal stylings to the enormously popular funk supergroup Simplexity.

Wilkerson has shared the stage with some of the nations greatest musicians including members of Parliament Funkadelic, Cameo, Bloodstone, The Marvin Gaye Band, The Whispers, The Eagles, The Gap Band, The Jerry Garcia Band, Alexander O'Neal, the late Roger Troutman and Zapp, Denise Williams, and one Chicago's greatest R&B heroes R. Kelly. Wilkerson and Simplexity are also a frequent entertainment choice of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The spring of 2001 brought Dave together with producer Tyson Leslie for Above the Level Records. While collaborating on several projects, the idea of a solo career lead to what is now known as "The Madd Hatter Review".

The Madd Hatter Review showcases Wilkerson's boisterous vocals and highly energetic personality. The first two singles and sone special highlight from the forthcoming record "It's A Madd Madd World" titled "Hooked" and "7 Daze" and a cover of Skid Row's "I Remember You", are already gaining national and international attention both from radio and on the world wide web.

The Madd Hatter Review is finalizing plans for the 2001 Fall/Winter season into the next year. Opening for regional and national acts across the U.S., The Madd Hatter Review will be performing tracks from his debut CD "It's A Madd Madd World" due for national release November 20th.
