When it comes to D.I.Y. artists, Madd Mary is making a name for herself. A naturally gifted lyricist, the L.A. native has also added music production to her arsenal. She confesses: "I'm a producer by necessity, I couldn't find anyone who could accurately capture my vision." In 2001 she crafted an 11-track demo that garnered the attention of such powerhouse labels as Def Jam and Epic. After 2 unfruitful meetings with Def Jam, the disappointed but determined MC started her own label (Nu_stalgia Entertainment) and began work on a mixtape that would eventually win her the "Best Female Hip-Hop" award ('03 N.Y Int'l Music Fest). 2006 proved to be her biggest year to date. She received an Underground Music award nomination and a nod from the editors of Billboard Magazine to showcase in the Discmaker's Independent Music World Series finals.

Her highly anticipated debut presents a complex and emotional picture of a talented but tormented artist's struggle to overcome adversity. Basically, it is a soundtrack to life. It is interesting to note that some of the more outstanding tracks on the CD (Inhale, Crybaby) were recorded during bouts of illness and depression. "Ghetto Brick Road" tells the story of hood life through the eyes of a child. Those who love to cruise with their speakers on blast will enjoy such bangers as Hypnotik ,Label Hoe, and Split Personality. Madd's gritty, lyrical delivery will take you back to a time when TRUE MCs ruled the world. Yes, the femcee also known as Wednesday Adamz is confident that this musical gem will bring a newfound respect for Hip-Hop.
